I also had the terrible "winter feet" and can't afford to get pedicures as often as I would like so I decided to fork over the money to give the PedEgg a try. It works great, just make sure you don't get carried away and use it too rough. The only thing that would be better is if the stores would also have the deal that is advertised on TV - buy one and get one free and get the foot lotion as a bonus. But any foot cream would work I suppose. Definately worth the money. I would recommend it to everyone

I bought this a few months ago and I love it, it works great and its very easy to use. The little stuff that falls out is a pain but is well worth it for the outcome. You can buy replacment blades (if that's what they call them) too, so you don't have to purchase a whole new egg. Thanks PedEgg.

Bought this on a telephone call after watching the TV ad. DON"T DO IT! The product works great and is a bargain, I agree with the review, but buying via telephone subjects you to a littany of annoying "me too" promotions that took over 20 minutes. Will never buy from a TV ad again.

Yes! I bought this a few days ago myself, and I love it! I live in Wyoming, and between the nine months of cold weather and extremely dry air, my heels were in terrible shape. With just three uses of the PedEgg, they are as smooth as silk.

I agree! 50 year old male w/ dry and cracked skin on the heels. One session and a little lotion...presto! Feels like a baby's butt. My daughter bought it for herself and I picked it up and gave it a try. It really does work. Use the handy sander afterward for the final smoothing.

I bought one of these - and after noticing the dry skin powder coming out, decided that the bathroom was the best place to use this thing. But! I must say it works wonderfully - much better than an pumice stone. And the article is right - you don't want to go too crazy and scrape off too much - overall, I think it's worth the 10.00!

For anyone that cooks (and I apologize in advance for making food references here as it's gross), this is a a microplaner for parmesan and lemon zest with a container attached to capture foot shavings. If you're done gagging, I'll continue! The author is right. It totally works. After being disapointed at it's simplicity and cheap feel after opening the package (somehow I got it in my head that it was going to be battery powered - it's not), I gave it a try anyway. It's easy to use and it gets at those calluses while being comfortable to hold. Worth a try, but be ready to vacuum up the powdered foot on the floor. Ick.

Co-incidentally, I bought a PedEgg yesterday and was equally impressed, not to mention flabergasted at the amount of "foot dandruff" (nice euphemism) produced. Living in florida, sandals are year-round footwear. At home I prefer bare feet and the tile in the house really promotes callus build up.
I am naturally sceptical of miraculous claims, but figured for ten bucks I had little to lose.
All I can say is GET ONE!

This product sounds helpful. What astounds me is how so many people can get through an entire winter without soaking their feet regularly while taking a bath, then rubbing them with granules - sugar will do fine. A few weeks ago, I bought a Ped-Egg at Bed, Bath and Beyond after seeing it on TV. I gave it to my mother and she loves it! okay so I scanned all the responses so far, and I agree with them all. I bought mine at Wal-Mart and for 9.99 it is a wonderful tool. Why did it take so long for someone to invent this? It is so safe compared to other items like razoring heel (yikes) or using a blade (too dangerous). And even safer that using a pumice stone in the shower where you could fall over. I do agree that it creates a mess of powdered skin-- so do it in the tub or put your foot up on the toilet edge and go to town. It is the first product "AS ADVERTISED" that I truly love.

Funny, Microplane (yes, the high-end grater company) has made these for a few years at twice the price. I bought them for the entire family as stocking stuffers. I have suffered with horribly dry, cracked heals and callused big toes for years. I used to use a metal file nearly every night and spend lots of money on pedicures, but nothing got my feet as smooth as the ped-egg. The ped-egg is easy to use and within minutes of the first use, my feet were soft and pretty. I also used the emery board stick on to quickly remove hard cuticles on my fingers. It worked much better than a cuticle scissors! It is definitely worth the $10!

yes, this pedegg is a wonderful tool. My son used to say my feet had turtle shells on the bottom. Now thnaks to this little device, I have soft heels.To avoid "foot dandruff, I place a towel down on the floor underneath while using. I use it after my shower while the skin is damp and soft. I have always had "rough" feet, and being diabetic I had to avoid the traditional pedicure parlors. I bought a foot razor from Revlon (I thought I could do better for myself) and it caused extreme damage despite the claims from the company. Here 8 months later, I decide to try the PedEgg as my aunt recommended. THIS IS THE BEST SOLUTION HANDS DOWN. I was able to remove the rough skin without damaging my feet! I LOVE MY PedEgg!! I did fall to the internet purchase of my "As Seen on TV" product and bought the "Two for $10" special. Well, I ended up paying almost $30 for two and lotion with shipping and handling charges (it wasn't in the stores yet) but I LOVE it. Definately worth the money! I've had my PedEgg for a few months and just love it!! Not only are professional pedicures oo expensive, I am so ticklish that they really not an option. For the first time in a long time, my feet are really pretty. However, I, too, wonder about the use it "anywhere" claim. The only negative is that it is very easy to get carried away and too much of this good thing can be painful the next day. I suffer from extraordinarily rough heels/side of foot skin, so I'm used to using a foot-file on an almost daily basis - especially during stockings seasons (fall, winter, early spring) to avoid ripping them each time I wear them. I bought the PedEgg a few months ago and liked it - it worked faster than the file on the roughest patches, but as others have mentioned, you do have to be careful about using it too enthusiastically. One other word of caution: on its own (even with the emery board section) it does not smoothe the feet enough to be able to easily wear stockings and not run them, at least for me. So I have to use the smoother/finer side of my old foot file to finish off my feet. And then, of course, use a good moisturizer....

For years my heels would literally crack and peel off in sheets. I'm 53 and have always had ugly, embarrassing feet. I picked one up at the Sear's register (9.99) and it is the best purchase of my entire life!!!! I have Diabetes, and I did file off too much the first time and had to use antibiotic ointment over my entire foot, but I didn't pay any attention to the directions, until the next time I used it. I so agree with all of you - I think it's a terrific tool, but do be careful - I got a little overzealous and nicked my toe a bit - a few days with neosporan and all is well, but just take it easy. Otherwise I love it - use a nice heavy duty foot cream afterwards and your feet will feel super!

I was also very skeptical when I bought my PedEgg. My heels get such a thick callous to the point it cracks, and I figured nothing would get rid of it, but the PedEgg does everything it's hyped up to! The reason you would have dry heels in the first place is because you aren't getting enough 'essential fatty acids' in your diet, meaning the 'right' kind of fats. If you got enough of those in your daily diet, plus use a good lotion daily, you wouldn't ever need one of these gadgets.

I've had cracked, callused heels for 15yrs, so much so that I've always avoided wearing sandals, even in the summer. I'm diabetic and really need to take care of my feet, and I'm luckier than most in that I have enough disposable income to be able to afford a $25. pedicure every couple of months. In between peds, even though I cream and lotion my feet, I'd still have problems with callus'. So I got the PedEgg and am glad I did so. Using it after a bath, shower or even foot soak keeps my callus' down to a managable level so there's not as much pressure on my circulation.
If you're looking for another way to keep your feet smoother in the winter, try putting Bag Balm (udder cream - pet dept, Wal-mart) on clean feet, follow with comfortable socks. Helps lots. Bag Balm doesn't smell really great (it's almost pure lanolin), but it's lots cheaper than other lotions and twice as effective.

This is a great invention! If you place a towel down then you can catch all the dead skin cells and then go shake the towel outside and throw in the laundry basket. I use my ped egg about 3 times a week, then follow up with a nice body butter before bed. The next morning my feet are as soft as a babies butt. Love it and highly recommend them!

I am a certified nursing assistant and on average I walk 10 miles a day in carrying out my duties. The most comfortable shoes still cause my feet to become sore and not to mention the mess the side of my feet were in! They were dry and cracked to the point of bleeding. Lotion alone did nothing. Desperate for some relief at an affordable price I bought my pedegg and within two or three sessions my feet looked normal and were completely smooth. Now I just use it once a week and it keeps my feet from becoming so nasty again. Definately worth the money.

The ped egg works great. I even went and bought a replacement box (3 blades). Ooops. Only 1 of the 3 blades was sharp enough. So back I went to the drug store. Opened the second box -- again only 1 blade was sharp. Fortunately I had a clerk that loves the Ped Egg, so she allowed me to take 1 sharp replacement blade from each package so make up 3 sharp ones.

I use this on my husband's hooves. He doesn't like pedicures and this actually did a far superior job than the $50 Red Door Salon pedicure. It's great that it works dry.

I saw this in Bed bath and beyond on a recent trip to Seattle. My husband was extremely sceptical, as I have tried about every product on the market to deal with rough skin, but I went ahead and bought the pedegg and some replacement 'graters'.
When I got home to the UK it was the first of my american purchases that I tried out and it is fantastic. I now have great smooth feet which are truly ready for the summer. When will it be available over here so I can recommend it to my friends?

I'm a stay-at-home dad who spends his days conversing on the level of 5 year- and 7 month- old children. Pedicure? Not gonna happen. And to be honest, I thought I had too much free time until I read some of these comments. Having been a chef for many years, I already knew that a good lemon zester would provide the same results (and with enough ketchup, you'll never taste the difference). I suffer from dry badly cracked heals, callous on my big toes, callous on all tips of my toes, corns that are calloused over on the center balls of my feet. I have been to a podiatrist and she said my feet are mis-aligned and the only "cure" is to surgically break my feet and realign them. (ah, I don't think SO)!!!I suspect the damage was done when I wore those stupid Dr. Scholls wooden sandals 2 summers in a row 30 years ago, so I could build up my skinny legs. I pay $50.00 several times a summer for pedicures (1.5 hours each time) to get my feet to resemble "normal"...Haven't had one pedicure since buying my PedEgg since! I swear by this thing! And people...STOP whining about the "dust"... isn't that what your trying to get off your feet? And for those "shavers" with the razor blades...ever got cut by one? Enuf said...

Hi to all that might buy a ped egg for some 1, well I was wactched their TV infomercial for a ped egg for only $10.00 dollars. And when I got my bill the invoice said $93.89. I have called them 6 different times and each time some 1 told my credit card would be credited. So I said ty but was very angry after 5 and 6 calls.....to no avail. FIRST, contact your credit card company RIGHT NOW, and dispute the extra charges. Tell the Customer Service Rep that you did NOT agree to buy ANYTHING else, and that the company is running a SCAM. They should be able to reverse the charges on your credit card right away. If they don't agree to do this, SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR, and do NOT take "NO" for an answer.

This product is fantastic!!! I have struggled for years trying to remove those unsightly and painful calluses with pumice stones, Dr. Scholl's foot files, chemical callus removers, and on and on and on. My husband and I are on our second one...didn't know there were replacement blades to purchase. WORD OF CAUTION...don't be too agressive with it the first time. Taking off too much creates a very sensitive spot that takes forever to heal. Other than that, it's a wonderful at home solution for gardening, walking, day to day build up of tough skin on feet.
